Caroline's place is in a great location. by Marcia 07/12/2017
Caroline's place is in a great location. Close to the metro and great restaurants. The Marais is a great location to be based with plenty to do. It was perfect for our stay for 3 days as we were able to cook breakfast and relax in the living room. The stairs are narrow but manageable. - Marcia from New Jersey, USA
Excellent location. by Tatyana 05/17/2017
Excellent location. There are a lot of cafes, restaurants and interesting places around the apartment. All means of transport are less then 5 min walking, so if you want to go anywhere, it very easy and convenient. This part of the city is shopping heaven, but without crowd as in shopping malls. When weather is nice, you can enjoy a lot of outside places for a coffee or evening drink. The river Seine, Ile Saint Louis are less then 5 min walks. The apartment is nice and cozy, it is best for 2-3 people. Surprisingly, it is very quiet, even very close the big boulevard. The bed is very comfortable, the living room is full of light and pleasant for morning coffee. Kitchen is small and equipped with all essentials. The only concern are stairs, very narrow, but it wasn't a problem for my daughter and me.- Tatyana from Bulgaria
Caroline's flat was perfect for our stay in Paris! by Laura 04/05/2017
Caroline's flat was perfect for our stay in Paris! The kitchen had the basics we needed (including an American drip coffee maker!). Though we didn't use it, it was nice to have a washer/dryer with soap provided. We traveled with another couple, so it was convenient to have a shower room separate from the toilet room. The pull-out sofa bed is expectedly basic, but we slept soundly after long days walking around Paris. The location was great- near two metro stops and many restaurants and cafes. Cute and sunny, with lots of windows. Caroline and her associate, Max, were a pleasure to communicate with and quick to respond. We highly recommend Caroline's flat! - Laura from Minnesota, USA

Just back from a 10 day trip to Paris, and already missing "our" lovely little apartment. by Renee 10/14/2016
Just back from a 10 day trip to Paris, and already missing "our" lovely little apartment. It really was perfect. Location was amazing!! Close to the metro, close to the cheese shop, the bakery, the chocolate shop, close to shopping, close to great restaurants, everything!! Besides sightseeing, there was nothing more than a 5-10 walk. The cafe on the corner was great, we went there three times. Owners so welcoming, would so highly recommend. The apartment was small but laid out well and a perfect space for 2. We used the kitchen only for making breakfast and it was completely adequate for that. The temperature outside took an October dive when we arrived and the wall heaters were great to make the apartment nice and toasty. Would highly recommend this apartment. Thank you so much for the lovely welcome bottle of wine. We had a late flight in the day of departure and were allowed to store our bags at the rental office, which was perfect. Check in time is an early 11:30am which accommodated our schedule. I know a lot of the reviews mentioned the stairs. Yes, they are narrow, steep and windy. But it really wasn't a big deal and much needed after some amazingly rich and delicious meals. - Renee from Porto Rico
Host made us feel very welcome. by Anita 10/04/2016
Host made us feel very welcome. Area was alittle noisy but not bad for convenience for shopping and metro. - Anita from New York, USA
We were welcomed on time at our Marais apartment by one of Caroline's assistants, who ran us through all the ins and outs of the apartment (there was also a bottle of red wine there to help us get settled - a nice touch). by Geoffrey 09/26/2016
We were welcomed on time at our Marais apartment by one of Caroline's assistants, who ran us through all the ins and outs of the apartment (there was also a bottle of red wine there to help us get settled - a nice touch). It turned out to be what we expected and we really enjoyed it. It was clean and certainly spacious enough for our needs. It sports a full kitchen and nice bathroom/WC. The shower was very nice. The washer/dryer was not great but it did work - it just took quite a while to finish a small load. No big deal for us. The bed was fine and there was plenty of armoire space in the bedroom for our things (but we do travel light). There is also an iron and ironing board in case you need one. The windows open up onto Rue Saint Paul and it was fun watching the goings-on from our perch. The WiFi worked fine and there is a TV if you're into that (we weren't). The building itself was very quiet - the only sounds we ever heard were neighbors closing their doors and walking the steps. There is a bit of a haul up a winding staircase (it's on the third floor) but we are in are 60s and had no problem whatsoever. The apartment was great but the neighborhood really made our stay that much better. You can't beat this part of the Marais for cafes (the Petit Saint Paul right across the street became our first-coffee-of-the-morning haunt), restaurants, boutiques, shops, and access to the Metro and major bus routes. It is a short walk to the Pompidou, Bastille, Place des Vosges, and the Seine. I don't think we could have picked a better base-of-operations for our week stay in Paris. We highly recommend Caroline and her Marais apartment - we'd definitely come back here for our next visit. - Geoffrey from Massachusetts, USA

We werden goed ontvangen. Perfecte locatie in Parijs, je loopt naar de Seine en overal openbaar vervoer. Veel restaurants en musea in de buurt. Bakker en buurtcafe om de hoek. - Agnes from Holland
We really enjoyed this place. by Craig 07/02/2016
We really enjoyed this place. It is centrally located to some of the best restaurants. We never needed to walk more than a couple of blocks. On the weekend, there is a small restaurant on the corner that played some great jazz, and classic crooner music. There is a nice coffee shop directly across the street. The Metro is only a few blocks away, and the bus stop is around the corner. The place is exactly as pictured. You have 4 sets of windows. 2 in the front, one by the entry, and one in the back by the bedroom. Even though you are in the center of everything, if you close the windows, it is very quite. And because of all the windows, when opened, you get a great cross breeze (important in the summer). The bedroom is tucked in the back, with a large comfortable bed. Shower was very nice, and had good water pressure. We did not cook while there, but it looks like they had all the essentials. They have a TV with cable (though we did not use it), and good wireless. Please keep in mind, it is on the third floor, and the spiral steps are very narrow. If you have big luggage, it might take more than one trip. The unit was very safe with 2 secure doors before getting into the staircase. We did not meet Caroline, but she sent someone else to let us in, and he seemed very nice, and showed us the ropes. They included a bottle of wine (nice touch!) Next time in Paris, we will be back. TIP: I strongly recommend considering using the Metro to get around. If you want to go to the Louvre, you just get on it, and it just a few stops down. - Craig from Texas, USA
